Suzuki Junzo, le drone/experimental master guitariste du soleil levant est de retour à Liège. D'une part pour présenter son nouvel album sorti sur Plunk's Plan-Nod And Smile Records intitulé "Seven". Mais également pour se lancer dans une jam shamanique et trans-noise avec certains musiciens du terreau Liègeois... Tom Malmendier est confirmé derrière les fûts ainsi que son comparse de l’Oeil Kollectif, Bertrand de Lamalle au saxophone… Ca sent déjà la claque.

MONNIK (Gand) 

Monnik (Monk) is a very apt moniker for this Belgian based experimental one-man band. Monnik wants to explore the boundaries of spiritual isolation, making his musical drones almost ascetic meditations. Layer upon layer of sounds and textures try to evoke an almost shamanistic – if not religious – atmosphere, in order to captivate the audience in an introspective hold.

After having crafted his musical explorations for years, and having them tested on numerous live occasions, the time is finally right to officially release his debut album. Vondeling (Foundling) comprises of 2 long tracks, and ranges from subtle and vulnerable ambient pieces to harsher droning sounds. These dynamics are hinting at his fascination for, on the one hand, shamanistic and tribalistic traditions and, on the other hand, the uncompromising and relentless walls of noise of the no-wave scene.

This debut album is a remarkably mature output of a very promising one-man soundscaper.

Oozing Wound - USA - chicago (Thrill Jockey Records)

Oozing Wound enfin en Europe pour la première fois! Ce groupe n'est autre que l'une des perles/ovni du label Thrill Jocket Records (Black Pus, Lightning Bolt, The Body, Liturgy,...), raison suffisante pour les inviter à La Zone avant leur passage au célèbre Festival Roadburn.

Ces citoyens de Chicago viennent de sortir leur second album intitulé Earth Suck tout aussi thrash, noise et sludge dans le style que leur premier essai, Rethrash. Une claque incontournable vous attends à l'issu de ce concert aérodynamique.

Signorina ?Alos - Italy (Cheap Satanism Records)

Derrière ces impressionnantes rastas se cache Signorina ?Alos, mieux connue comme la chanteuse du groupe de noise, sludge et expérimental italien: OvO.

Cette bête de scène et performeuse de musique expérimentale, présente en parrallèle ?Alos, son projet solo depuis déjà plus de 15 ans. Ca faisait déjà de longues années quelle n'avait plus foulé la scène de La Zone.

À cette occasion, elle présentera son nouvel album intitulé Matrice, proposé sur le label Bruxellois Cheap Satanism Records (Joy As A Toy, Fuzz Orchestra, Kieki...). Un album sombre, riche en sonorités électroniques, doom et métal.

Une plaque oppressante comme sa voix d'ogre au lendemain de cuite. Une curiosité à ne manquer sous aucun prétexte.

Slowly We Rot - Belgium (Skin and Bones Records)

Slowly We Rot est un groupe Belge fondé en 2013 qui a enregistré une split tape avec les allemands de Depravation sur le label anglais Skin & Bones Records et le label allemand Dark Omen Records.

Ils ont sorti recemment un excellent premier premier EP de huit titres sur tape et sur cd. Un concentré de rage hardcore/crust/metal très noir, façon Trap Them ou All Pigs Must Die, avec ses séquences lentes et rapides. Une entrée en matière surpuissante avant Oozing Wound.
